GIRLS BASKETBALL CAMPS

4th-8th Grade Camps

Ankeny High School Girls Basketball Coach Scott DeJong will be directing summer basketball camps for girls entering grades 3-12. The 4th-8th grade camps in June will emphasize offensive and defensive fundamentals, as well as introduce team play. There will be daily contests, 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 tournaments and league play. Each camper will be given a t-shirt** and player evaluation (4th-8th grade June camps only). Individual awards will be presented. The 3rd-8th grade camps in July are shooting camps, emphasizing all phases of shooting. Coach DeJong will be assisted at the clinics by his AHS coaching staff along with current and former players.

9th-12th Grade Camps

Ankeny High School Girls Basketball Coach Scott DeJong will be directing summer basketball camps. At the 9th-12th grade camps post and perimeter skills will be emphasized, along with all areas of play. Coach DeJong will be assisted at the clinics by his AHS coaching staff along with current and former players.

Middle School Girls Basketball League

-Features one hour of basketball Tuesdays and Thursdays
-Individual Skill Development - work on offense skills the first 15-20 minutes
- Opportunity for game competition - participants will be put on grade appropriate teams for competition each night
-Instruction will be provided by Ankeny Coaching staff and players
- Location: Ankeny High School Gym for Ankeny students
